Christopher Nkunku stars for RB Leipzig in the DFB-Pokal final, as they beat Frankfurt to lift the DFB-Pokal for a second successive season. The French forward who agreed to join Chelsea in December, scored the opening goal and assisted second goal in the final for Leipzig.
Chelsea fans will be delighted to see Nkunku next season, as he can end their goalscoring woes. The Frenchman ends his season with 23 goals in 35 matches in all competitions this season. However, last season he ended up scoring 35 goals in all competitions.
Nkunku will be a huge boost for former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, as a number of midfielders are set to leave Chelsea this summer. Like Nkunku Manuel Ugarte is also linked with a €60m move to Chelsea. Chlesea would like to complete the Uruguayans transfer quickly as PSG are also eyeing a move for the midfielder.

As of now there are no announcement regarding Nkunku. But now, it is expected that Chelsea will confirm his arrival as he has played his last game. The 25-year-old has operated as a No. 9 for RB leipzig this season. And Chelsea are in a desperate need of a No. 9 like Nkunku.
Chelsea have struggle a lot in front of goal this season, Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz were their joint-top scorers. But, Nkunku’s arrival will help them as he can easily play in the midfield as well.
Nkunku picked up the Bundesliga Golden boot award this season, scoring 16 goals in the league campaign. He was Bundesliga’s top goalscorer despite missing a significant amount of season through injury.
Pochettino will be happy that Nkunku will arrive in a great shape after his injury. But, the frenchman’s arrival might be bad for Kai Havertz, as Chelsea may sell him to Real Madrid in the summer.
