Newcastle United’s Miguel Almiron Extends Contract until 2026; Know Details

Newcastle United has announced that Miguel Almiron has signed a new three-and-a-half-year deal with the club, keeping him at St. James’ Park until 2026. The Paraguay international has been a key figure for the Magpies this season, scoring ten goals in 23 games and helping them push for a spot in the top four.

A Reward for his Hard Work

Almiron’s previous contract was due to expire in 2024. Still, he has now committed his future to the club, stating that he is “very happy to sign a new contract with Newcastle.”

The 28-year-old is currently enjoying the most prolific season of his Premier League career and has been instrumental in Newcastle’s campaign under Eddie Howe, who is pleased with the player’s contribution to the team.

“Miggy is a hugely important part of our squad on and off the pitch,” said Howe. “I’m very pleased to see his contribution acknowledged in this way. I’m delighted we’ll continue our journey together.”

Almiron, who arrived at Newcastle in January 2019, has become a fan favorite and has been praised for his hard work and dedication to the team.

A Crucial Time for the Magpies

Newcastle is currently one point behind fourth place in the Premier League table and is also preparing for the Carabao Cup final against Manchester United this weekend. The Magpies will be looking to secure their first major trophy since 1969, and Almiron is determined to help the team lift the cup.

“I felt at home at Newcastle from the beginning,” said Almiron. “I’ve felt very welcomed, and I feel like part of the family, so I am very happy to stay here and I am going to keep giving everything on the pitch to thank the people of Newcastle.

“The truth is that I’ve worked really hard since I came to Newcastle to improve my level and to be where I am at the moment, and I also thank the staff and my teammates, who have helped me a lot during these four years. I think this is a reward for that hard work, and I am very happy.”

Focus on the Carabao Cup Final

With Almiron’s future at the club now secured, Newcastle fans will be hoping to see him continue to perform at the top level and help the team reach new heights. The Magpies are in a strong position in the Premier League, and with the addition of a major trophy, it could be a season to remember for Newcastle United.

However, Almiron’s primary focus will be on Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Manchester United. The Paraguay international is eager to celebrate his new contract with a victory in the final and help Newcastle win their first major trophy in over 50 years.

“On Sunday, we have a very important match, and while the new contract makes me really happy, the most important thing is that we celebrate this contract with a victory on Sunday,” Almiron said.
