It’s a knockout match in Group A as Netherlands will face World Cup hosts Qatar in a match which will decide whether Holland would qualify for the knockout stages or not. At the moment Van Gaal’s team are in the second position on the table with 4 points behind Ecuador and they know that they have to beat Qatar to get into the last 16 and also beat them by a big margin cause they would want to finish first and most likely avoid England in the Round of 16. Whereas for the hosts, they are already knocked out of the tournament but this match is an opportunity for them to redeem themselves and give their fans something to be proud off. If indeed they manage to beat Holland, it would be simply historic and in the history of the World Cup, every nation which has hosted the tournament has at least won one game.

However, beating the Netherlands won’t be that easy cause they are on a 17 match unbeaten streak and they’ll surely look to continue on that run against Qatar too. Holland didn’t qualify for the 2018 World Cup but before that they finished 3rd and were runner’s up in 2010, so given their history it is very likely that they might win tis encounter and progress to the knockout round. All in all, it would be an interesting game.
