Negreira case: Football Leaks Presents Fresh Reports in Bribery Case involving Barcelona

Football Club Barcelona, one of the powerhouse of Spanish football, is once again into the limelight, not for good reasons, but for all the fiscal catastrophe that has struck the Blaugrana.

According to Football Leaks, the shady monetary scam of Barcelona has come into light that they have allegedly made payments to the former vice president of the Technical Committee of Referees, Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira.

This controversy surfaced when a fax sent to Barcelona by the chairperson of the referees was made public, which resulted in the escalation of the debate, thus showing the agreement which had the signatures of the top clubs from first and second tiers. Real Madrid was not in that specified list.

Football Leaks is an acclaimed website for exposing and investigating the monetary matters of celebrated players like Leo Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo.

On the basis of its investigation reports, it shows that for the last 24 years, Barcelona has made a string of strange payments through Nidsal SCP (Sociedad Civil Privada) and Dasnil 95 SL. Last but not the least, the data also suggests that some payments were done to Javier Enriquez, son of the spokesperson of the referees.

The Excel sheet proposed that payments were made between 2001 and 2018.  Negreira invoiced 135,227.74 euros and 163,625.56 euros.

Is the former director the main lawbreaker?

The present director of the Catalan Club, Joan Laporta, in his former stint at the club , during the golden era, stopped the payments during 2005/06 season.

But according to the fax, it is evident that former director Josep Maria Bartomeu kept paying the referee till 2015/16 season, clearly signifying the infamous mentality behind this tomfoolery.

According to Football Leaks,  received payments from the club between 2001 and 2015. His accounts which he received grew from 200,000 euros to 729,000 euros in 2014, a huge amount indeed.
