In the ongoing IPL 2023, Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni shared Virat Kohli’s batting technique with his team after their fantastic victory over Mumbai Indians. The small portion of the conversation went viral on social media, where Dhoni was spotted giving a batting masterclass to his players.
CSK’s Victory Over MI
In the match against MI, CSK picked up an easy victory at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Mumbai Indians, batting first, lost three quick wickets, including skipper Rohit Sharma, who once again failed to open his tally, becoming the player with the most number of ducks in the history of the Indian Premier League. However, Nehal Wadhera and Suryakumar Yadav held their nerves and bailed Mumbai out of a difficult situation.
Wadhera registered his first half-century in the competition, scoring 64 off 51 deliveries, and helped MI post 139 runs on the board after 20 overs. Chennai was in full control of the match, and their openers, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway, gave a perfect start in the second innings. Later on, Shivam Dube’s quick 26* runs off 18 deliveries helped CSK chase down the total in just 17.4 overs. The MS Dhoni-led side improved their net run rate, which can play a massive role in the fag end of the tournament. Currently, they are at number two in the IPL Points Table, while the five-time champions are at number six.
