Mohamed Salah’s agent denies rumours of Liverpool star moving to Saudi Arabia

Mohamed Salah’s agent has denied the possibility of the Egyptian forward moving to the Saudi Pro League this summer. Saudi Pro League champions Al Ittihad have approached Salah’s agent over a lucrative deal for the forward.

The 31-year-old forward has received a contract offer from Al-Ittihad worth €180 million. However, his agent Ramy Abbas Issa, took to Twitter on Monday to deny such claims.

Mohamed Salah’s agent comments on Saudi move

Mo Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas on huge bid from Al Ittihad: “If we considered leaving Liverpool this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract at the club last summer. Mohamed remains committed to Liverpool”.

After hearing Ramy Abbas’ statements, Liverpool fans will feel relief as Salah has been a talismanic presence for the Reds across the last six years at Liverpool.

The Liverpool forward has two years left on his current deal at Anfield. He signed the most lucrative contract in the club’s history last summer.

Egyptian star Mo Salah will stay at Liverpool

A lot of European stars have joined the Saudi Pro League in 2023. The trend was started by Cristiano Ronaldo, being followed by the likes of Karim Benzema, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Riyad Mahrez.

However, many stars have also rejected lucrative offers from the SPL to stay and continue in Europe.

Moreover, Liverpool have already experienced what the Saudi clubs can offer to lure the players. Their captain Jordan Henderson ended his 12-year stint at the club and joined Steven Gerrard’s Al Ettifaq.

Brazilian striker Roberto Firmino, also joined Al-Ahli on a free transfer almost a month ago. Al Ittihad, who are eyeing a move for Salah signed Fabinho for £40 million.

Salah has registered 186 goals in 305 appearances for Liverpool. The Reds forward has also broken countless records along the way, helping Jurgen Klopp’s side to seven trophy triumphs.
