Manchester United: Red Devils players complain about wardrobe misfit, says “socks are too tight and jersey too small”

Manchester United seem to have found one more issue among their ranks as they have reportedly complained about their wardrobe accessories being misfit and poor quality. The Red Devils have started their campaigns in worst possible note, winning five out of ten games, reeling on the 8th spot in the table.

Kit Problem main cause of downfall?

Manchester United, the legends of English football, seem to have entered a dark phase in their history, as they are reeling from one of their horrible starts. Out of ten games played, they have accumulated 15 points, winning five and losing five, thus considered to be one of their worst starts. There might be several reasons held accountable for it, with Ten Hag’s striking force misfiring, as none of their strikers have fared well in the League. On top of that, one of his prime strikers Jadon Sancho, the former Borussia Dortmund man, has triggered a poor relationship with him, thus the youngster being reprimanded for his conduct, being banned from club’s facilities. United is also inflicted with injuries, with several big names being forced on the sidelines, and are expected to make a comeback in the coming days. But, according to recent reports, United’s kit might be another issue which is ‘preventing’ them for their best performance.

Small kits, tight socks

According to a report in the Daily Mail, the club has been unexpectedly wearing different socks from their official Adidas home socks since their second game of the season, with goalkeeper Andre Onana sporting a different replica jersey because of the small size, as the version wore by players proved to be too small for the custodian.

It has also been observed that Onana has sported the the official jersey until their victory against Sheffield United on 21st October, before switching to loose replica versions available for fans in the shop.

The outfield players were seen sporting their official home socks twice against Wolves and Spurs, before changing to generic Adidas black socks.

Adidas has been informed about this problem, and have been assigned to investigate into the matter. With a change in this unwanted issue, Ten Hag and his brigade would be hoping for a change of fortune in their performances, as they prepare to host Newcastle United in Carabao Cup, in a rematch of last season’s final, where the Red Devils had ousted Eddie Howe’s side.
