Major League Cricket (MLC) recently conducted its inaugural player draft for the upcoming T20 league, which will be played in the United States from July 13th to 30th.
The MLC has announced its full list of players for the 2023 season, including six overseas players and nine US-based players for each of the six participating franchises.

Six overseas players were included in the MLC 2023 draft. The San Francisco Unicorns signed former Australian captain Aaron Finch as their captain, along with Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis, New Zealand’s Corey Anderson, and England’s Liam Plunkett.
The Seattle Orcas added experienced South African wicketkeeper-batsman and former captain Quinton de Kock, Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, and Shehan Jayasuriya to their team. Meanwhile, Washington Freedom signed Sri Lanka’s spin-bowling all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga and South African fast bowler Anrich Nortje.
Local Talent Signed for MLC 2023
In addition to the overseas players, each team signed nine US-based players. Unmukt Chand, who led the India U-19 team to victory in the 2012 World Cup, was signed by the Los Angeles Knight Riders. The Texas Super Kings picked former Delhi batsman Milind Kumar.
