Kings League Final saw immense success at Camp Nou; Neymar, Messi feature in key roles

Gerard Pique , former Barcelona defender and legend pulled off an incredible first season of Kings League along with fellow Twitch streamer Ibai Llanos.

The seven-a-side tournament kicked off brilliantly with both of them soaking in success. It ended yesterday in Camp Nou, with more than 90,000 spectators present in the stands, with a Final Four attracting the fans.

Neymar, Ronaldinho to own teams in Kings League

Pique and his organization announced before the clash that former Barcelona star and ex-teammate Neymar will own a team from the next season.

He was reportedly present in the stands along with legends Ronaldo and Ronaldinho to witness the historical final clash of Kings League.

Lionel Messi was omnipresent

Although Messi was not present physically due to international duties , he was present in spirit as his name was chanted in the stands due to speculations about his potential return to his former club. Recently he was rumored about returning to his boyhood club. Former Brazil and Barcelona legend Ronaldinho also expressed his desire to see Messi retire at his former club.

A sold-out spectacle at the Camp Nou

Entire stadium was filled to the edges as over 92 thousand spectators assembled at the home stadium of Barcelona, to show support in favor of Kings League. “El Barrio” became the winners of the inaugural edition. It featured Super-Bowl like halftime show with big names like “Kun” Aguero, David Villa and president Joan Laporta in attendance. It has garnered large amount of audience in online due to having different set of rules from traditional football.

With the huge success of Kings League, it seems that there has been some additional revenue which will be awarded to Barcelona.
