Jude Bellingham: Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti says superstar might undergo surgery if injury recurs

Real Madrid metronome Jude Bellingham has been one of the superstars for the Spanish heavyweights, but injury concerns might act as a hindrance for his success at the club. Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has mentioned that although Bellingham is recuperating well from the shoulder injury which occurred to him few days back, a surgery option would not be ruled out if it recurs.

Jude Bellingham- Real Madrid’s posterboy

Jude Bellingham has been one of the biggest stars for Real Madrid this season. The former Borussia Dortmund star, who has swooned over the Spanish capital this season owing to his exuberance and blitzkrieg playstyle, has showed his mettle at the biggest stage once again after enjoying worldwide success at the German side, who narrowly missed out on a Bundesliga title last season to serial winners Bayern Munich. The Englishman, who has already scored more than 10 goals at the Spanish league, surpassing reigning Pichichi winner Robert Lewandowski, has made his statement clear at Spain, that he is going to go for the kill. He has announced himself during El Clasico, when he scored a brace which agonizingly defeated Barcelona, including a last-minute winner, hitting the shot through the legs of Barca custodian Marc Andre Ter Stegen. With an exceptional talent coupled with brilliance, Jude has mastered the art of scoring clutch goals, with many of them coming at the dying minutes of the game.

But, even injuries could hinder the progress of star players, as Jude managed a dislocated shoulder during the international break, therefore missing out on the final EURO qualifiers for England. After returning to feature for the club, Jude suffered from a bruised ankle issue during Real’s UEFA Champions League victory over Napoli. Los Blancos had already qualified for the next round, with a victory against Napoli merely a routine win. He has been undergoing several strong training sessions, with Real Madrid boss Ancelotti keeping a strict vigil on his improvement.

“Working on his own”

Real Boss Ancelotti was heard saying about his favorite apprentice, “Bellingham is working on his own because he still has to recover from the ankle injury he had against Napoli. He has recovered well. The shoulder is something he has to look after to strengthen it on his own. He hasn’t had any problem to play, and every day that goes by, he is improving in that sense.”

When asked about the necessity of any surgery, Ancelotti mentioned, “Not right now. The shoulder is very particular. If it happens again or keeps happening, maybe, but we will see.”

Speaking about Real Madrid’s injury woes, Kepa has stepped up his recuperation from thigh injury, but Lunin would most probably start the game against Real Betis.

Speaking about Kepa, Carlo said, “Nothing has changed with Kepa, we still trust him just as we did. Lunin has shown character and personality. The good thing is that we have both, and one could play and the other could. One could play tomorrow, but another another time, there could be rotation.”

Ancelotti would be facing Real Betis, who sit seventh and are currently on an unbeaten streak at home. Ancelotti was all praise for their stern opponents, when he said, “It will be a difficult game because Betis are doing very well, especially at home, they are solid and well organized. We have to try to do our best and try to win, to continue our good form that we have had lately. The game will be difficult, but we’re confident of doing a good job.”

Real Betis tactician was heard saying about his former club, “They have always been very close matches in the last three years, since I have been here we have lost by one goal, we have tied – and there has been a lot of controversy regarding those goals. They are very important games for us and I hope we have the opportunity to beat Real Madrid. They have been very close games and hopefully tomorrow we will win. If we are not capable, then we will go for the next game.”
