“Job chod du?” R Ashwin Humorously Reacts On Twitter To Cheteshwar Pujara’s Bowling
Team Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took to Twitter and reacted hilariously upon teammate and Batsman Cheteshwar Pujara’s bowling on day five of the fourth Test match on Monday, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in the 2023 Border Gavaskar Trophy.
The match ended in a draw, and Team India retained the trophy with a 2-1 series win. During the fifth day’s play, Team India skipper Rohit Sharma brought in Cheteshwar Pujara to bowl the 78th over from the Adani End.

Pujara conceded just one run in the over after bowling an over to Australian captain Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne. It turned out to be the second-last over of the match and reacting to Cheteshwar Pujara’s bowling, Ravichandran Ashwin shared a tweet with a trending line from meme in the past saying, “Main kya karu? Job chod du?” (What should I do now? Leave the job?)

Team India’s spin wizards Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were the joint-winners of the Player of the Series award in the 2023 Border Gavaskar Trophy. Ashwin was the leading wicket-taker in the series with 25 wickets and scored 86 runs, while Jadeja picked up 22 wickets and contributed 135 runs with the bat.
Speaking about their performance, Ravichandran Ashwin said, “It has been a great journey. We (himself and Jadeja) started a long time ago but we wouldn’t be the same or lethal enough without the other. We need to recognize that, at least I have started recognizing that over the last 2-3 years.”
Ashwin further added, “He gives me a lot of freedom to be creative with the ball, credit to him, I thought he bowled beautifully in the Delhi Test as well and that’s why we are here today.
Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja) keeps it really simple, he does not fret around or bother about what has happened, but I saw him sit in one place for an hour after he got out, so that told me how disappointed he was and that came out today.”
