Jarvo Is Back: Spotted Having Word With Virat Kohli During ICC World Cup 2023 Match Between India And Australia

Jarvo has returned and made his appearance at the World Cup this time! The Englishman, also known as Daniel Jarvis, is a YouTuber who rose to celebrity in 2021 by invading three of England’s matches against India. When Jarvo broke through the security at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday during the fifth match of the 2023 World Cup between India and Australia, he made his first appearance outside of England and his World Cup debut.

Pictures of Jarvo swarming the Chepauk field during India’s World Cup debut quickly went viral online. Jarvo was seen conversing with Kohli in a number of images shared on social media, and Kohli appeared disappointed at the disruption during such a crucial game. The security guards at Chepauk then led him out of the ground. Despite the lack of video evidence, Jarvo was seen wearing the Indian blue outfit and wearing his regular jersey number of 69.

This was Jarvo’s fourth invasion of an India-related international match. Jarvo made his debut in the Lord’s match in 2021 when the team traveled to England for a Test series, acting as an Indian player even as security staff tried to escort him out of the stadium. In fact, a few players had splits from the sight.

Jarvo had lined up to bat at No. 4 in the subsequent game in Leeds ahead of Kohli, and in the fourth Test at the Kennington Oval, the YouTuber bowled like a fast bowler while slamming into Jonny Bairstow.

After an impressive start to the World Cup tournament in India, the host nation made their appearance in front of a packed Chepauk crowd for the crucial opener against five-time champions Australia. Pat Cummins, Australia skipper, won the toss and opted to bat first amid the hot and humid Chennai conditions.

Rohit confirmed that Shubman Gill missed out of the match owing to dengue fever and that Ishan Kishan has replaced him in the playing XI. India also featured three spinners in the playing XI, implying that Ravichandran Ashwin has been picked as a No. 8 given Chennai’s dry conditions, which subsequently will add batting depth to the Indian side as well.
