James Maddison, John Terry engage in Instagram spat after Tottenham defeat

James Maddison and Chelsea legend John Terry engaged in a spat on Instagram after Mauricio Pochettino’s side defeated Tottenham 4-1.

Tottenham and Chelsea faced each other on Monday in a dramatic match that featured five disallowed goals and two red cards. In the end the Blues got a 4-1 win over Tottenham.

It was a tough night for Tottenham and Maddison, who departed early due to injury. Moreover, legendary Chelsea centre-back John Terry ‘mocked’ the North London side.

The former Chelsea captain really enjoyed the result and posted a video of himself celebrating afterwards on his Instagram.

John Terry ‘mocks’ Tottenham Hotspur on Instagram

“When Chelsea beat Spurs 4-1 on a school night and the tequila comes out, and you end up dancing and singing on the bar,” Terry wrote on Instagram with a video showing how he’d been celebrating with wife Toni.

Maddison couldn’t resist and replied to the Chelsea legend: “Jesus, you have your eyes closed when it was 11 vs 11 (in the) first 15 (minutes) JT?.”

However, his reply only encouraged Terry further. “Don’t worry mate you will get used to it,” which presumably means he expects him to get used to being on the losing side for Spurs against Chelsea.

With that loss against Chelsea, Tottenham are no longer unbeaten in the Premier League. Moreover, they have a growing list of injuries in their squad.

Ange Postecoglu’s side will face Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday. Chelsea, meanwhile, will face Manchester City on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
