Jadeja becomes the leading wicket-taker for India in Asia Cup

India won a rail-curtailed game against Nepal by 10 wickets courtesy of an attacking batting performance by the Indian openers. But the man who set the tone of the match was Ravindra Jadeja after Nepal got off to a start as the Nepalese openers added 65 runs for the first wicket in the first powerplay.

They were also helped by some poor fielding from the Indian fielders who dropped three back-to-back catches in the first three overs of the innings. The Indian team was looking flat and was in desperate need of a wicket that’s when Ravindra Jadeja took the responsibility and picked up three wickets in the middle overs.

The all-rounder has now equaled former fast bowling all-rounder Irfan Pathan who has also taken 22 wickets in the tournament followed by Sachin Tendulkar and Kapil Dev who have taken 17 wickets and 15 wickets respectively.
