IPL 2023: SRH rope in hard hitting Harry Brooke for Rs 13.25 cr and Mayank Agarwal for Rs 8.25 Cr

Hard hitting youngster Harry Brooke started off the Indian Premier league auction 2023 with a bang. The English batsman was sold for a whopping Rs13.25 Cr to Sunrisers Hyderabad. Brooke whose base price was Rs 1.5 Cr attracted bidders straight away.

Bangalore and Rajasthan started off the bid for Brooke and was later joined by Hyderabad. After some fearsome bidding and calculations, it was Sunrisers Hyderabad who managed to sel the deal for Brooke at a staggering Rs 13.5 Cr.

Harry Brooke has been in great form lately. He scored three hundreds in three test matches in the recently concluded Pakistan tour. He also has the record of the second fastest hundred in the history of PSL while playing for Lahore Qalandars earlier this year.

Mayank Agarwal, the former captain of the Punjab Kings, is all set to play for Hyderabad. It was Punjab and Bangalore who took interest in Mayank early on. However it was Hyderabad, who entered the auction with the highest purse, roped in Mayank for Rs 8.25 Cr after a bidding battle with Chennai.
