Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium will host the Qualifier 1 and Eliminator matches on May 23 and May 24, respectively. This marks the first time since 2019 that Chennai will host an IPL playoff match, and it has previously hosted five such games, including two finals in 2011 and 2012.

Qualifier 2 and the IPL 2023 final will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 26 and 28, respectively. This is the second consecutive time that the final will be held in Ahmedabad, which is home to the Gujarat Titans and has a capacity of 132,000. In the 2022 season, the Qualifier 2 match was played between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore before the final, which was won by eventual champions Gujarat Titans against Rajasthan.

Points Table So Far

The IPL 2023 has completed 28 matches so far, with 2008 champions Rajasthan Royals leading the points table with four wins in six matches. Lucknow Super Giants stand second in the table with a similar record but have an inferior net run rate. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals sit at the bottom of the table with a solitary win in six games, which happened against Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday.

After the league stage, the top two teams will play in Qualifier 1, with the winner advancing to the final. The losing team will then play Qualifier 2 against the winner of the Eliminator match, where the third and fourth-placed teams will battle against each other. The winner of Qualifier 2 will advance to the final.

The IPL 2023 playoffs and final are set to provide an exciting finish to the tournament, with matches being held in two of India’s most popular cricketing cities. With some of the biggest names in world cricket on display, fans can expect thrilling contests as teams vie for a spot in the final and ultimately, the title.
