Incredible ball-smashing from Conway & Dube helps CSK post 226/6 in 1st innings

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lost Ruturaj Gaikwad early but Ajinkya Rahane got them going in the powerplay. Devon Conway later joined the party and has continued the charge after Rahane fell to Wanindu Hasaranga. The carnage continued though, with Shivam Dube coming in and putting 80 runs off just 37 balls for the third wicket.

Conway fell for 83 off 45 after which Dube continued the assault. The Indian scored 52 off 27 balls before falling to Wayne Parnell. Ambati Rayudu, Moeen Ali and Ravindra Jadeja all came in and smashed some big shots, allowing CSK to make a total of 226/6.

Harshal Patel bowls one of the most dramatic final over in IPL history

A dramatic end to the innings. Harshal Patel was removed from bowling after the pacer bowled two waist height no-balls. Glenn Maxwell came to complete the final over and was smoked for a big six by Ravindra Jadeja (10), who was out soon after the maximum.

Despite starting poorly Maxwell completed the over without not a lot of damage done. This has been a brutal batting performance from CSK. A wicket and 16 runs off the last over as CSK posted a mammoth 226 for 6 in their 20 overs.

RCB bowlers have been again poor on the night. In addition to their bowling display, Faf’s tactics have been questionable on stages of using his bowlers. CSK has posted a pretty decent total. MS Dhoni might be using lot more spin than Faf who despite having Hasaranga in the attack only used a couple of overs of him.
