No surprise to see ‘Muscle-Russell’ on top of the list of players with highest strike rates in the IPL. KKR’s destructive all-rounder has a strike rate of 177.88 in 98 matches of the IPL. He has played 10 seasons of the Indian apex league so far and has scored over 2000 runs, with 137 fours and 175 sixes. His highest IPL score so far is 88 unbeaten.
This West Indies all-rounder has maintained this demolishing strike rate for such a long time and that’s why he is rightly called ‘Muscle-Russell’.
Ben Cutting with a strike rate of 168.79
One of the cleanest hitters of the ball, this powerful Australian striker is at the second spot of the list of highest strike rates in the IPL. In the 2016 edition, Cutting’s match-winning performance of 39 off 15 took SRH to their maiden IPL title.
This 36-year-old batter has played for as many as 4 IPL teams: Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians, and Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL. Cutting has a strike rate of 168.79 in 21 matches and is one of the player with highest strike rate in ipl.
Liam Livingstone
The next explosive batter in the list of the list of highest strike rates in IPL has been one of the biggest hitters of the white cricket ball in the recent times of world cricket. Having played 3 seasons of the IPL so far, this English all-rounder has a strike rate of 166.86 in 23 matches, with 4 fifties. He has so far hit 38 fours and 40 sixes in the IPL.
Worth mentioning, he smashed 437 runs in the previous season for Punjab Kings at a massive strike rate of 182.08. Thus, he sits at the third position with an overall career strike rate of 166.86.
Jitesh Sharma has a strike rate of 163.64 in a lone season
Wicket-keeper batter Jitesh Sharma made his IPL debut last year for SRH and made headlines soon after. Known for his big hits in the tournament, Sharma smashed 22 fours and 12 sixes in 12 matches and finished the 2022 season with 234 runs. Sharma has a strike rate of 163.64 in the IPL, he sits on the fourth position of the list of highest strike rates in IPL.
Sunil Narine: A bowler that bats top of the order
The 5th player on this list is another West Indies all-rounder who has been used as a pinch-hitting opener from time to time by KKR. He has the ability to send the bowling attack to the cleaners on his day. Narine the batter has a strike rate of 169.69 in 148 IPL matches.
Sunil Narine’s batting exploits have come to the fore of late more than his bowling. He suffered a down-run in his bowling when he was called for a suspect action which forced him to modify his action. But Narine redeemed himself back with his batting capabilities when he was promoted as an opener by KKR. He gave blazing starts to his side and became a threat to the opposition in the early part of the innings. And is recognised as one of the player with highest strike rates in IPL.
