Hugo Lloris suffers Knee Injury; set to be ruled out for 6-8 weeks

Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt with a huge injury blow ahead of their Champions League Round of 16 match against AC Milan.

Their captain and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is set to be out for 6 to 8 weeks after picking up a knee injury. Lloris picked up this injury in last weekend’s win over arch-rivals Manchester City by a scoreline of 1-0.

LLoris ruled out of UCL Clash

Early reports had suggested that he could be out for the rest of the season but Spurs would hope they’ll have hi back much earlier. This is because it is believed that he won’t go under surgery cause if he had done that then definitely he would be out for the campaign.

However, his injury could also be a positive for the Premier League team as Hugo has struggled for form this year and has had more errors that have led to goals than any other goalkeeper in the league.

He is expected to be replaced by the summer signing Fraser Forster in the starting lineup, who has only made one PL appearance for Tottenham and that was in a 2-2 draw against Brentford on Boxing Day.

Spurs’ next match is this weekend at the King Power Stadium against Leicester City followed by the first leg of the Champions League in Milan. Tottenham are currently 5th and just 1 point off the UCL spots.
