Harry Kane: English superstar creates history as Bayern Munich ease past top four rivals Stuttgart in a comfortable victory

Bayern Munich has showed their class and exuberance once again when they eased past top four contenders and a sturdy Stuttgart side 3-0, thus strengthening their dream of clinching the title once again. Harry Kane was on song once again as he sets another milestone with his brace while stopper Kim scored the third goal.

Bayern edges past Stuttgart in an easy fixture

Bayern Munich continued their winning streak after a flashy 1-0 victory in midweek clash against Manchester United, which ousted them from the European elite competition, as they secured a blitzkrieg thump over top-four rivals Stuttgart, scoring three goals without reply, thus surmounting pressure on Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen, who have emerged to be strong title contenders this season owing to the likes of Xhaka, Boniface coupled with strict vigil from boss and former Spanish midfield metronome Xabi Alonso.

Bayern had got the start they wanted banking on home support, as it took less than two minutes to get their first of the night. The Kane-Sane duo was instrumental for the first goal, where the German and former Manchester City star Sane slid the ball past to Kane, who was well positioned to score the first goal from a point-blank range, giving the hosts a well-deserved lead. Football’s officiating body once again came to play, as the defending Bundesliga champions had to battle it out against VAR, who ruled two goals for marginal offside calls, else the score could have read something different.

Harry Kane- the phenomenon

As the score at half-time read 1-0 with the game well poised for a classy finish from both sides in the second half, it was English skipper Harry Kane who once again made the headlines for his swashbuckling performance, earning him the player of the match award. Barring little chances in the first half, Stuttgart was rarely seen with the ball posing a threat for the hosts, and soon they found themselves in spot of bother, when Harry Kane smashed the second goal of the night, doubling the score, potentially finishing the game.

Kim Min-Jae was pivotal in assisting Kane to his landmark goal, as the latter was mostly unmarked in the back-post to steer ahead of his opponent defenders, as Kane headed the ball past Stuttgart custodian to complete his brace. It was his 20th goal in Bayern Munich colors, already making him the fastest to do so, once again showing the German supporters that the “Hurri-Kane” has indeed arrived in style at Allianz Arena. He achieved this feat within 14 games, thus etching his name among the history books.

The game was all-but over when Kim, after assisting his first goal for Bayern, got his name onto the score sheet when he scored the third goal of the night minutes before Kane set this milestone. The tall Korean was well ahead the opponent defense, when he steered past the Stuttgart defenders to head the ball, thus killing the game, with an insurmountable deficit for the visitors.

With this victory, Bayern kept themselves closely on track of leaders Bayer Leverkusen, with a game in hand, as Thomas Tuchel’s side are four points off the top, well on course to defend their Bundesliga title.
