As the first Indian skipper since 2016 to lose to the West Indies in back-to-back T20I matches, Hardik Pandya chose a rather unfortunate record. He did, however, amass a few personal records that attest to how crucial he has been to the Indian T20I side throughout the years.
In India’s second T20I match against the West Indies, Pandya led the team with 24 runs scored and three wickets taken. In the process, he made T20 cricket history by being the first Indian to surpass 4000 runs and take 150 wickets. Pandya’s bowling performance increased his total number of T20 wickets to 152. He has also scored 4391 runs in 241 games.
