Former Indian cricket team opener Gautam Gambhir, renowned for his candid remarks and straightforward analysis, recently addressed questions about his tendency to make controversial statements. During a Q&A session on X (formerly Twitter), a curious fan inquired, “Why you always give so much controversial statements? #AskGG.” Gambhir, known for not mincing his words, responded with his characteristic bluntness.

Gambhir’s Blunt Response: “I Say What I Feel”

In his reply, Gambhir defended his outspoken nature, stating, “I say what I feel. You should think who benefits from the controversies!” This straightforward response sheds light on Gambhir’s belief in expressing his genuine opinions, irrespective of the potential controversies that may arise.

During the Q&A session, Gambhir also shared his insights on the biggest threats to India in the upcoming T20 World Cup. He identified Afghanistan as a formidable opponent in specific conditions, emphasized Australia’s impact players, and commended England for playing T20 cricket in an ideal manner.

The session also featured Yuvraj Singh, who offered a different perspective on the T20 World Cup threats. Yuvraj highlighted South Africa as a strong contender, emphasizing their quest for a white-ball tournament victory. Additionally, he acknowledged the threat posed by Pakistan, considering them a dangerous team in T20 cricket.

Gambhir’s Critique on Pakistan’s Fielding and India’s Success

Gambhir didn’t shy away from critiquing Pakistan’s fielding, citing it as one of the worst in international cricket, based on his observations during the 50-over World Cup. He contrasted India’s consistent success in reaching finals over the past five or six years, emphasizing that Pakistan has not come close to India’s achievement in recent times.

Expressing optimism about India’s performance in the T20 World Cup, Gambhir pointed out the numerous finals that the Indian team has reached, highlighting their proximity to winning the trophy. He encouraged a positive outlook for India’s chances in the upcoming tournament.
