In the summer transfer window, Arteta had specifically insisted on the signing of Jesus and since his arrival, Mikel has turned him into an absolute beast and that clearly helped them be on top of the table in the Premier League.

Arsenal release statement on Gabriel Jesus surgery

However, no official timescale has been placed on his recovery with a club spokesman insisting it was “too early” to fully assess the damage.

“Gabby will now begin his rehabilitation programme. Everyone at the club is supporting Gabby and will be working hard to get him back on the pitch as soon as possible,” wrote Arsenal in a statement.

And since this news out there has been a chaos on Twitter as almost all Gunner’s supporters are tweeting that the club should sign the footballing legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Gunners have Eddie Nketiah as striker back-up while Gabriel Martinelli can also play in a centre-forward role if required. Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will restart their Premier League campaign on Boxing Day when they host West Ham. All in all,it would be interesting to see how this situation develops.
