Croatia secured 3rd place in the World Cup by beating Morocco

Croatia end their 2022 World Cup campaign in Qatar by securing a win against the African giant’s Morocco in the third-place match. This match wasn’t an encounter that most people were interested in but despite this, it was surely an incredible and exciting game. Since the first whistle, it was clearly seen that both teams were looking to end their run in the tournament on a high and give their supporters something to celebrate. And it did not take long to for the first goal in the game, as at the 7th-minute mark, Gvaridol who is possibly the young player of the tournament gave Croatia the lead.

And this was totally surprising cause the Moroccans have been absolutely sensational in defence throughout the World Cup and to concede the first goal was a setback for them. However, they showed mental strength and character as after just 2 minutes they equalised courtesy of Dari. Then it was to play for once again for both these sides and it was really a tough contest between them. But then at the 42nd minute, Orsic scored a stunner to give the 2018 runners-up the lead once again in the game and at half time Modric’s side were leading the game.

In the second half. Croatia’s game plan was to simply park the bus and Morocco’s was to play all out attack. All of Africa was behind Morocco so that they equalised but they tried a lot in the whole 45 minutes, but they couldn’t break down the defence of the European giants and in the end, Modric’s side won the game.
