CONMEBOL release 2024 Copa America venues in USA

CONMEBOL release 14 venues for the 2024 Copa America on Monday, which will be held in the United States next year.

This will also be the 48th edition of Copa America, featuring 10 South American nations and six North American teams. Furthermore, the tournament will be held in 14 venues across 10 US states, organizers said on Monday.

CONMEBOL had already announced that the opening match will be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on June 20. The final will take place on July 14 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

CONMEBOL also revealed that AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, NRG Stadium in Houston, State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, will host quarter-final matches.

MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina will host the semi-finals of Copa America.

The Group stages will take place from June 20 through July 2. The quarter-finals will be held July 4-6, semi-finals July 9 and 10 and the third-place match on July 13.

“According to the dynamics of the competition, two groups will play in the west and center of the country, and two groups in the east and center,” CONMEBOL said in a statement. “The competition will move in an easterly direction, the quarter-finals will be played in the west and center, while the semi-final and final will take place in the east.”

Copa America is usually hosted in South America. However, this year it will be hosted in the US ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which the United States is co-hosting with Mexico and Canada.

  • MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, New Jersey)
  • NRG Stadium (Houston, Texas)
  • Q2 Stadium (Austin, Texas)
  • SoFi Stadium (Inglewood, California)
  • State Farm Stadium (Glendale, Arizona)

Argentina are set to defend their crown Stateside and could play in Lionel Messi’s adoptive state of Florida with Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium and Exploria Stadium in Orlando among the venues.

The draw for the latest Copa America will take place on Thursday 7 December.
