Morocco 2-0 Belgium; Morocco Makes History with Third Win Ever in FIFA

It’s the last matchday of the group stage in the FIFA World Cup and this time out Group F is wide open as 3 out of the 4 teams have a chance to qualify for the knockout stages. The team that has been knocked out are Canada who are co-hosts for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but the results don’t justify their performances as in both of their games, they played very well and at least deserved a win in their first match against Belgium. They have surely laid some foundations on how they can improve and play in the 2026 World Cup, but now in their last game, they’ll have to face the African side Morocco.

Now Morocco are simply the favourites to qualify for the Round of 16 as at the moment they are in 2nd place with 4 points, whereas Belgium and Croatia are on 3 ad 4 points respectively. So the Moroccans know that even a draw would guarantee them their place in the last 16, however, they would be looking to top their group because if they finish 2nd, they’ll most likely face the European giants Spain in their first knockout match which would be terrible for them. Hakimi’s side are coming off a historic win against the 2nd best team in the world Belgium and due to that result, the African side would be highly confident to win against Canada.
