Brighton’s Ansu Fati scores his first goal in the Premier League

Barcelona loanee Ansu Fati scored his first goal for Brighton in the Premier League against Aston Villa. The La Masia youngster was the only goal scorer for the Seagulls as Aston Villa scored six goals past Brighton to earn their biggest win ever over them.

Xavi didn’t give him enough game time last season, so he decided to move to Brighton on a season-long loan. Moreover, everyone, including Ansu Fati, is convinced that a move to Brighton is the best decision for him, as he will get more game time and will develop under De Zerbi.

The youngster came on at half-time of Brighton’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa, with his team already 3-0 down after the first 45 minutes.

A brace from Ollie Watkins and a Pervis Estupinan strike had put the hosts in charge of the match at Villa Park. Fati came on in the 46th minute as he replaced Evan Ferguson.

Just four minutes after coming on, Fati scored hi first goal for the Seagulls after Joao Pedro’s ball across the box had found its way to him.

Moreover, this is Fati’s 30th senior career goal, which also means that he has now scored in LaLiga, the Champions League, the Copa del Rey, the Supercopa de Espana and the Premier League.

The 20-year-old was a sensational player for Barcelona, and he is still their youngest goal scorer. But, several injuries have hampered his form, and Fati was unable to get into the rhythm after that.

However, he has now recovered from his injury, but in a team like Barcelona, it’s very difficult to get regular game time if you are not at your best. The Catalan giants decided to sign Joao Felix on loan after Fati’s departure.

Everything now depends on his loan spell this season. So, if he gets to his best, Xavi will definitely use him in his team next season.
