Now coming into this game, both teams are in very contrasting form as on one hand, Brighton have only lost once in their 5 matches from all competitions. Whereas on the other hand, Liverpool’s disastrous run in this season continues as they have only won once in thier last 5 encounters. Hence, the home team would be looking to continue on the winning momentum whereas Klopp’s men would be looking to turn around their season and a win against a team like Brighton might to do that.

The last time these two sides met was just a few days ago and at that time the Reds were absolutely destroyed by the Seagulls as De Zerbi produced an absolute masterclass at the Amex as his team defeated the defending FA Cup champions by a scoreline of 3-0. Hence, in this game, Jurgen’s team would be motivated more than ever to take revenge and progress to the 5th round. However, in each of Liverpool’s, last three FA Cup runs as defending champions, they have failed to progress beyond the fourth round each time and this is surely a positive stat for the home team.

Brighton do know that this is the only trophy in which they have a real chance to win and there is no doubt that their players would be playing the game of their life and with the sensational crowd support, they might just win this massive game.
