Brazil national team approach Jose Mourinho following Ancelotti, Guardiola snub

According to widespread reports in the Brazilian media, it is now believed that Brazil’s football federation are interested to sign the Portuguese Jose Mourinho as their new coach after Tite resigned due to the shocking defeat in the World Cup against Croatia and that an end of his 6-year journey as the coach of Brazil.

Hence since his resignation, many names have come up to replace the likes of Carlo Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola in the list but now the latest is Mourinho who is not satisfied with his project at AS Roma and is likely to leave the job before his contract expires in 2024.

Jose Mourinho approached to coach Brazil

However, signing Mourinho won’t be that easy for the 5-time world champions as Portugal’s manager Fernando Santos has also resigned and hence the Portuguese federation considers Jose the perfect replacement for him and they have a better chance of signing the Roma coach as Mourinho is from Portugal and it would be obvious that he would like to win any major international tournament with his own country.

It is reported that Mourinho is away from the team as he is celebrating Christmas with his family and this would be the perfect opportunity for both Portugal and Brazil to hold talks with the coach as his mind would be clear enough to make a decision.

So now it’s all up to Jose cause already Ancelotti has rejected the chance to coach the South American side as he is too focused to manage Real Madrid. All in all, it would be interesting to see how the situation develops.
