Brazil 4-1 South Korea; Canarinha dances their way into the Quarter-Finals of World Cup 2022

It was classic Brazilian football in the round of 16 match between them and South Korea as the South American side finally showed their true potential in this World Cup by beating the Asian side 4-1.

There were no doubts that coming into this match Tite’s side were the favourites but they had to be alert of South Korea as they were coming off a sensational win against their group rivals Portugal.

And Brazil were coming off a shocking defeat against Cameroon in their final group match. Hence, it was difficult for the football experts to predict a winner.

However, Brazil got a huge advantage as they got their superstar Neymar back in the team after he was injured. So since the first whistle, it was clearly seen that Tite’s men were totally controlling the game and it did not take long for them to break Korea’s defence as at the 7th-minute mark, Vinicius Junior scored their first goal. And that goal gave them peace of mind, after which it was a total dominant display from the 5-time world champions.

Fab four of Brazil strike at once

In the first half, they scored 4 goals courtesy of Neymar, Richaralison, Lucas Paqueta and of course Vinicius and due to this, they became the first team after Germany to score 4 goals in the first half of a World Cup knockout match. [Germnay did it in 2014 when they defeated Brazil 7-1]. In the second half, they held back a bit and Tite was experimenting a lot by introducing new players which is why they couldn’t score any more goals. But South Korea managed to score an absolute stunner to give their fans some joy in yesterday’s match. All in all, now Brazil are looking like a team that could go all the way to the finals and next up they’ll face the 2018 runner’s up Croatia in the quarter-finals.
