Beşiktaş fans threw toys, stuffed animals onto pitch For Children affected by Turkey Earthquakes

Football is a beautiful game, as we have seen from time and other how this game unites people in spite of many differences. Another incident of this “beautiful game” was evident in Turkish club Besiktas stands, where the local fans and supporters threw toys and stuffed animals on the stadium.

This was an act of donation to the children who were affected by the devastating catastrophe that struck the country, along with Syria. They also paid tribute to the deceased and it is seen as an outright gesture in honoring them.

The Besiktas supporters were showering the sidelines and the stadium with stuffed toys during their Super Lig Clash against fellow rivals Antalyaspor.

An emotional gesture by Beşiktaş fans

The supporters threw the gifts during the 4th minute of their game to honor the time during which the catastrophe first struck in the nation, which shook the entire world.

The football fraternity also mourned the death of former Chelsea and Ghana player Christian Atsu, whose corpse was identified under the rubble after a few days.

Into the footsteps of Andalusian Club

The bigger picture is the Turkish club following into the footsteps of the Andalusian club, Real Betis, who follow this routine every year during Christmas, when they throw thousands of stuffed animals and toys in support of their disadvantaged children, so that they can enjoy the game as much as others do.
