BCCI announces India women’s ODI and T20 squads for Bangladesh Tour, some notable names left out

On Sunday night, the Women’s selection committee of the BCCI announced the 18-member India’s squad for the three-match T20Is and ODIs series against Bangladesh. The tour will kick off with T20Is series from July 9 and conclude with ODIs series on July 22. All the six matches are scheduled to be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur.

Some notable names have not been selected for the Bangladesh tour and the selection committee has not revealed the reason for their omission. The players who were left out from the squad are: right-arm pacer Renuka Singh, wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh, veteran allrounder Shikha Pandey and left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad.
