Bayern unhappy with Neuer after his Interview on Sacking of Toni Tapalovic

Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn, Sporting director Hasan Salihamidizic and head coach Julian Nagelsmann have all thrashed Manuel Neuer after he publicly expressed his disappointment at the club’s decision to sack goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalovic.

Tapalovic, the former Bayern Munich coach was relieved off his duties at the club on January 23 and Manuel had accepted his departure but he simply couldn’t understand the reason behind it.

In his recent interview he said, “For me it was a blow as I was already on the ground, I felt my heart was being torn out. Everyone in our goalkeeper group was torn apart. People burst into tears, Toni was loved by the whole team.

“There was no justification from what I could understand. Things were said that I don’t agree with. But I haven’t heard any arguments that rule out talking to each other and clearing things up.”

Neuer has most likely played his last game for the club

Since his interview, several members of the German side have now responded to the explosive claims from the 36 year old. Oliver Kahn, who is a legendary goalkeeper in the footballing world referred to himself as a keeper of Germany and when he lost his goalkeeping coach Sepp Maier in 2004.

On the other hand, Sporting Director Hasan was also not pleased with the comments from the German international as he accused Manuel of putting his personal interests above the club. Hence, it can be said that it will be a tough road for Neuer to return to Bayern.
