Barcelona 1-0 Athletic Club: 17-year-old Marc Guiu scores the winner on dream debut
La Masia striker Marc Guiu guided Barcelona to a 1-0 win over Athletic Club just 30 seconds after coming on from the bench.
This result puts Barcelona in third place, behind Girona and Real Madrid, who are just one point ahead of the champions.
Both teams were creating many chances to score, but they were unable to find the back of the net. Nevertheless, Xavi gave Guiu his debut, and as soon as he came, he scored a wonder goal under a minute to break Basque player’s heart.
Joao Felix slided in a beautiful pass to Guiu in the final third, and he slotted it past Unai Simon, the Spanish keeper did get a hand on his shot, but he could not keep it out.

“He’s been training with us for the whole season, it’s important that everyone who comes brings something,” Barcelona defender Inigo Martinez told DAZN.

The Catalans host Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Wednesday before welcoming rivals Madrid to Montjuic.
