Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram: India vs Bangladesh 1st Test has begun on 14th December, with a lot of drama. From a sinking Indian boat to a bail refusing to come off to the last ball wicket. While Shreyas Iyer stays unbeaten on 82 thanking his luck. Cheteshwar Pujara has to wait for a little more to score his next international hundred, as he missed out on one today by 10 runs.
India posted 278 for 6 on the opening day. Crediting it to the 149-run partnership between Iyer and Pujara for the fifth wicket. However, early on in the innings, India appeared to be in great trouble. With 4 wickets falling at 112, Bangladesh looked in good control in the first session.

For Bangladesh mystery spinner Taijul Hasan picked 3 wickets in his 30 overs and gave 84 runs. Moreover, Mehidy Hasan dismissed 2 Indian batters, out of which one was dangerous-looking Rishabh Pant and the other was Axar Patel, that too on the very last ball of the day.
Bangladesh have done themselves a world of good by picking those two late wickets in the day. But they now need to come back stronger on Day 2 and restrict KL Rahul-led India to as low as possible as the pitch is certainly not easy to bat.
