Atletico Madrid: Spiritual leader Sadhguru meets Antoine Griezmann and manager Diego Simeone

Renowned spiritual leader and yogi, Sadhguru, got an exciting chance to meet French World Cup winner from 2018, Antoine Griezmann, and had caught Atletico’s match against Dutch champions Feyenoord. He had later got the opportunity to meet the boss of the Spanish giants, Diego Simeone.

Sadhguru has been one of the legendary gurus since the past years. It is reported that in last weekend, he had got the opportunity to visit Atletico Madrid stadium, at Civitas Metropolitano, before seeing the home side edge past Feyenoord in an UEFA Champions League fixture. Before seeing the game, the spiritual leader met Atletico’s star striker Griezmann, who has been in one of the dazzling forms this season, and has held “Rojiblancos” to the position of title favorites. Sadhguru met him, and had embraced the star, expressing his happiness by seeing him, labelling himself as a Griezmann fan. This spiritual encounter saw the convergence of sports and spirituality.

Speaking of his journey inside the stadium, the spiritual yogi expressed his elation, by saying, “The stadium is fantastic and the crowd was absolutely roaring. And a great game. Glad to see five goals. It was fantastic to see it. We’ve been following Griezmann for a long time. It’s really nice to see him play and also meet him here. It’s been a great experience.”

Griezmann invites Sadhguru to visit again

After the game, Griezmann had joked to Sadhguru and has shared his opinions on the presence of the leader once again, as the Spanish heavyweights registered a difficult victory over the Dutch champions. He was gifted with an Atletico shirt, with the famous number “9” and his name imprinted on the back. He went on to cast some spiritual wisdom on the players, as he added, “Nobody wins a game because they want to win a game. Everybody wants to win, there’s no question about that. It is by playing well that you win.”

He further continued, “If you play well, you start wanting to win the game, start dreaming of a cup, no? Your focus should be just on the ball, kick the ball well and you win. So this whole thing that we have and I’m talking about the crowds, But the players, they shouldn’t think about beating the opposing team. Your business is to put the ball in their goal, that’s all. Somebody will keep the score.”

The legendary spiritual figure, widely recognized for his wisdom and teachings on inner well-being, seemed to be a fan of World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann, as he later went on to meet Atletico boss Diego Simeone, as both of them indulged in some hearty conversations.
