Lionel Messi’s wife, Antonella Roccuzzo almost kissed his teammate Jordi Alba as she got confused, thinking it was his husband.

Messi and his family are loving their new life in USA after having a difficult time in Paris. The Argentine wanted a move to his former club Barcelona. However, due to Barca’s financial troubles the move did not happen.

So, Messi decided to join David Beckham’s Inter Miami this summer. The World Cup winner has already bagged 11 goals and three assists. He also helped the club to win their first ever trophy in Leagues Cup.

Furthermore, Beckham has also brought in his former teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, and they have also made a big difference.

Messi inspired Inter Miami in the semi-final against Cincinnati, as they won the game 5-4 on penalties. However, after the game, there was an extremely awkward moment between Lionel Messi’s wife Antonella and teammate Jordi Alba.

A video was uploaded on Twitter, where Antonella can be seen on the pitch looking for her husband to congratulate him on the win. Antonella then appears to confuse Alba with Messi and goes in for a kiss on the lips before realizing last minute, leading up to a very awkward few seconds.

So, in the end, they hugged awkwardly, and Alba went on to greet Messi’s kids. The incident may have occurred because of some similarities between the two.

Both Messi and Alba were wearing the same color jersey, and in addition to their heights, both players have beard and that might have confused Antonella.
