Ansu Fati speaks to Xavi Hernandez following fathers’ comments

Following his father’s explosive interview with Cadena Cope in which he lashed at everyone in the club for his son not getting the desired minutes that he thinks his son deserves, The 20-year-old has spoken to the Barca Manager that he did not represent his views in training, having woken up to his dad’s comments.

Bori Fati’s explosive interview

Bori Fati gave an explosive interview in which he teased his son to seek a transfer from the Catalan club and even unfollowed the official account of FC Barcelona on Instagram.

According to Sport Xavi is not likely to change his stance on the matter regardless of what is said in public. He believes other players are more deserving of minutes currently, and until that changes, Ansu will play no more.

In the interview, he said Bori Fati said that he was happy with how his son is working, reminding the world of how Ansu has “been in the elite for four years now” and attesting that the Guinea-born sensation is “super well”, physically speaking. Perhaps because of these factors, Bori Fati said that “it bothers me how they are treating Ansu”.”They give him one, two, and three minutes [at the end of games]. I am very disappointed, Ansu deserved much more,”

He also said he will not publicly criticize Real Madrid because in future u never know what will happen and also said that Ansu might object to the move.

Jorge Mendes will listen to the offers

A further report goes on to say that his agent Jorge Mendes has an asking price in mind for any clubs interested in Ansu, which would be set at €35m. While this is considerably lower than it might have been just six months ago, Mendes will explain to Barcelona that another season on the bench will only see his value drop further.

It seems as if the entire situation has had gasoline added to what was a kindling previously. The chances of Ansu finding success seem a little more difficult, with Ansu’s family publicly questioning the club and Xavi, regardless of whether it represents the player himself or not. Nor, as reported, will it make Ansu’s job any easier on the pitch.
