There has been speculations about Moroccan and PSG defender Achraf Hakimi’s future in football after he was accused of assault and to add to his woes, his marriage with Spanish actress Hiba Abouk is also on the line as she has filed for divorce against him. She had asked for half of his property and wealth that the World Cup semifinalist has owned, but much to her surprise, it came out as the footballer owned nothing, as he has registered all his money and properties in his mother’s name.
All his assets were registered in his mother’s name, and as a result Hakimi owns ‘nothing’. All his houses, cars, clothes, and jewelry were found to be in his mother’s name, and millions in salary were deposited in accounts which had his mother’s name.
A hero, or a villain?
Due to this gesture of Hakimi, some people are considering him a hero and chants of giving him the African player of the year has surfaced, as he is hailed as a “wise” and “living legend”.
The common responses that surfaced are as follows: “That was chess not checkers. Well played,”
While another one added, “Mummy boy for life. We may argue disagree sometimes even block them for sanity’s sake, and unblock them afterward. But when it comes to making life decisions, mummy’s boy for life”.
But he is not considered equally among masses as some have also disagreed and tarnished him for this activity and voiced out their protests, saying, “This is not right. Yes, things may have happened that leads them to divorce. But she is a human being, who sacrificed 2years of her life with Hakimi. She gave him something everyone human being needs, companionship. She deserves to leave with something.”
Now, the matter will be decided by the court as it seems to have reached that stage.
