In these categories, 22 players have been retained in the ERPs, 24 in the RYP, and 38 in the ENYP. This means that many big stars are going under the hammer. So, let’s find out which team has retained which player. And what all superstars are expected to undergo the hammer.

There have been shocking changes made by the Bengal Warriors heading into the Auction of PKL 10. Despite having so many superstars on their side, they have decided not to retain any of them. Instead, they have wiped the slate clean and are ready to start from scratch again.

What surprised everyone was the fact that they had decided to let go of their captain, the Mighty Maninder Singh. The player has been a part of the team since PKL 7 and is consistently performing for them.

They could have kept him in the mix and, with his firepower in the raiding department, made a team around his experience. However, they have not seen that as an option and cleared out their squad.

Although they have managed to retain four players in the existing new player category, it will be a tough task for them to rebuild without any core in the team.

One of the dark horses of PKL 9 is out, and nobody is surprised to see the list of players they have decided to retain in their squad for the upcoming Pro Kabaddi season.

In the last auction, they splurged 2.26 cr on Pawan Sehrawat, making him the most expensive player in the history of Pro Kabaddi League. However, the player was injured in the very first game of the season, leaving his team in tandem.

The team still managed to do wonders in the season, courtesy of the youth squad that stepped up. The likes of Narender Kandola, Himanshu, Ajith Pawar, and Sagar took charge of the situation to ensure that their team reached the playoff for the first time in the history of the team.

Existing young players: Badal Singh, Aditya Shinde

Last year’s finalist, Puneri Paltan, has made some bold choices ahead of the PKL 10 auction. They have decided to drop their captain and commander-in-chief, the Iranian Sultan, Fazel Atrachali. Along with that, they have also sacked Nabibaksh, a compatriot of Fazel.

The only valid reason behind this choice could be the aging factor with Fazel. Although he became the most successful defender in the history of the league last season, there have been some concerns with his fitness. This was seen in the recent Kabaddi Asian Championship, in which the Iranian team was without Fazel.

However, there are very few people in the game who can strategize better than him. Hence, leaving him out is a huge gamble, and it will be interesting to see how Paltan plays their cards moving forward.

Coming to players retained by Puneri Paltan, there are a few big names in the mix. Starting with Aslam Inamdar, Akash Shinde, and Mohit Goyat. Further, they have Gaurav and Abhinesh in the Elite player list. While Badal and Aditya as young players.
