Tottenham ‘unhappy’ with Harry Kane after he held talks with Bayern Munich
Tottenham are furious after Harry Kane held talks with Bayern Munich. The striker desires to leave the North London club this summer.
According to reports, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is unhappy with Kane after holding a talk with the German club behind his back. After Tottenham decided not to sell the English striker to any Premier League rival, joining the Bundesliga winners is the best bet for him.
With Kane being in his prime years, a move away from Spurs to win some silverware is the best thing for him. Moreover, Bayern are not stopping even after their €70 million bid being rejected by Tottenham.
Furthermore, Thomas Tuchel also travelled to London and held a meeting with the striker, according to reports. This was not appreciated by the Tottenham board.
Tottenham offer new lucrative deal to Harry Kane to snub Bayern Munich move
Levy has already offered the striker a lucrative deal to Harry Kane to stay at the club. But, the 29-year-old has no intention to sign a new contract. This means that Kane will leave Spurs on a free transfer next season.
Daniel Levy was successful to stop Kane from joining Manchester City in 2021, but now he is willing to leave the club.
Bayern will shell out money for Kane, but they are not willing to pay €100 million straight up, as that would be too much for them.
Bayern board member Uli Hoeness’s ‘shocking statement’ on Harry Kane
Uli Hoeness told Munich-based newspaper Abendzeitung, “I think the transfer is totally crazy. He’s a great player, no question about it, but these are amounts that I would never pay as president.”
“He’s almost 30 years old, and last year, Tottenham rejected Manchester City’s €160 million offer. I said it would be crazy if Bayern approached such a transfer.
“I would give my private opinion. I’m one of nine and if the other eight say he’s going to be bought, then he’s going to be bought. That’s how it is in a democracy.”
Hoeness statement would create differences among fans, but the truth is that Spurs are demanding a lot of money, and Bayern are desperate for a top striker to replace Lewandowski, who left for Barcelona last year.
