Mumbai Indians registered a stunning six-wicket win over Punjab Kings in a high-scoring encounter at Mohali on May 3, 2023. Chasing a massive target of 215, Mumbai Indians reached 216 for 4 in 18.5 overs, thanks to a brilliant partnership between Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav.

Kishan scored 75 off 41 balls with seven fours and four sixes, while Suryakumar made 66 off 31 balls with eight fours and two sixes. They added 116 runs for the third wicket in just 9.1 overs and set the platform for the chase. Kishan was named the man of the match for his knock and also for his three stumpings behind the stumps.

Punjab Kings had earlier posted 214 for 3 after being asked to bat by Rohit Sharma. Liam Livingstone was the star of the show for Punjab, smashing an unbeaten 82 off 42 balls with seven fours and four sixes. He added an unbroken stand of 119 runs for the fourth wicket with Jitesh Sharma, who scored 49 not out off 27 balls.

Mumbai Indians 219/6 vs Chennai Super Kings 218/5

Mumbai Indians set a new record for the highest successful run chase in IPL history in 2015. They were set a target of 218 to win by Chennai Super Kings, but they chased it down with ease thanks to a brilliant batting performance from Rohit Sharma.

Sharma scored an unbeaten 109 off 63 balls, and he was well supported by Kieron Pollard (43 off 21 balls) and Ambati Rayudu (36 off 22 balls). Mumbai won the match by 4 wickets with 13 balls to spare.

MS Dhoni came to the party and scored a brilliant 50 off 28 balls. He was well supported by Dwayne Bravo (34 off 18 balls) and Ravindra Jadeja (20 off 12 balls). Chennai Super Kings finished their innings on 218/5, with Dhoni scoring 50 off 28 balls and Bravo scoring 34 off 18 balls.

Rajasthan Royals 226/6 vs Punjab Kings 223/2

In a thrilling encounter at Sharjah on September 27, 2020, Rajasthan Royals chased down 224 runs to beat Punjab Kings by four wickets in the Indian Premier League.

The match was a six-hitting fest, with both teams smashing a total of 29 sixes. Punjab Kings posted a mammoth 223 for 2, thanks to a brilliant century by Mayank Agarwal (106 off 50 balls) and a fine knock by KL Rahul (69 off 54 balls). They added 183 runs for the first wicket, the third highest partnership for any wicket in the IPL.

Rajasthan Royals started their chase on a positive note, with Steven Smith (50 off 27 balls) and Sanju Samson (85 off 42 balls) putting on 81 runs for the second wicket. Samson was in sublime form, hitting seven sixes and four fours. He was named the player of the match for his second consecutive half-century.

Tewatia, who had struggled to score earlier, finished with 53 off 31 balls with seven sixes. He was dismissed in the final over, but Jofra Archer (13 not out off 3 balls) sealed the win with two sixes off Mohammed Shami.

Rajasthan Royals 217/7 vs Deccan Chargers 215/5

Rajasthan Royals pulled off a stunning three-wicket win over Deccan Chargers in a high-scoring encounter at Hyderabad on April 24, 2008. Chasing a mammoth target of 215, Rajasthan Royals reached 217 for 7 with one ball to spare, thanks to a brilliant innings from Yusuf Pathan and a cameo from Shane Warne.

Pathan smashed 61 off 28 balls with four fours and six sixes, and added 112 runs for the second wicket with Graeme Smith, who scored 71 off 45 balls with nine fours and two sixes. Pathan was named the man of the match for his knock and also for taking two wickets with his offspin.

However, Rajasthan Royals still needed 17 runs off the last over, which was bowled by Andrew Symonds, who had earlier scored an unbeaten 117 off 53 balls with 11 fours and seven sixes for Deccan Chargers. Symonds had taken his team to 214 for 5 after they were put in to bat by Warne.

Warne, the Rajasthan Royals captain, took matters into his own hands and hit two sixes and a four off Symonds to seal the win. He remained not out on 22 off nine balls.

Mumbai Indians 219/6 vs Chennai Super Kings 218/5

Mumbai Indians pulled off a sensational four-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings in a high-scoring encounter at Delhi on May 1, 2021. Chasing a daunting target of 219, Mumbai Indians rode on a masterclass from Kieron Pollard, who smashed an unbeaten 87 off just 34 balls with six fours and eight sixes.

Pollard’s heroics overshadowed a brilliant batting display by Chennai Super Kings, who posted 218 for 4 after being put in to bat by Rohit Sharma. Ambati Rayudu was the star of the show for CSK, smashing 72 not out off 27 balls with four fours and seven sixes. He added 102 runs for the fourth wicket with Ravindra Jadeja (22 not out off 22 balls) in just 7.4 overs

CSK also had valuable contributions from Moeen Ali (58 off 36 balls) and Faf du Plessis (50 off 28 balls), who put on 108 runs for the second wicket. Ali hit five fours and five sixes, while du Plessis hit two fours and four sixes. Pollard was the most economical bowler for Mumbai Indians, taking 2 for 12 in two overs.
