Shubman Gill Scores Consecutive Centuries in England; Joins Elite list

Doubters, haters, trolls, line up in front of Captain Shubman Gill and take a bow.
The newly appointed Indian skipper has proven his mettle in the second game, by scoring another much-needed century.
Gill, continuing on the back of his great hundred at Leeds, played the waiting game beautifully to build a solid inning.
Gill creates hsitory with hundred
He had come in to bat at a time when India was struggling. They had just lost their second wicket in the form of Karun Nair and were in a dire need of a partnership.
That is what Gill provided with Jaiswal. The duo added 66 for the third wicket. Jaiswal was the aggressive of the two and after his departure, Gill picked up pace.
He brought up his fifty in 125 balls. His century came some 70 odd balls later as he reached the magical three-figure mark with a delightful sweep that pierced the field on leg side.
This was his seventh century overall and it granted him an entry into the elite list of Indian captains who scored Hundreds in first two Tests as India captain. Only Kohli, Hazare, and Gavaskar had done it before.
What really captures the essense of this knock is the fact that he played this inning with a 96% of control. the best ever for a player at the time of reaching century in Tests in England since records began.
It was because of his heroics that India were able to cross the 300-run mark with five wickets to spare. He has absorbed the pressure like a sponge, and hopefully he will continue to flourish on the second day as well.
Currently Gill has 114* to his name, how many more runs do you see him scoring today? Comment below!
