Rohit Sharma has had many IPL record to his name. He is the only captain to have won the tournament on 5 different occasions. But now he has accumulated a rather unwanted record to his name in the CSK game.

In the 10th game of the season, Rohit Sharma was dismissed for a 3-ball duck by Deepak Chahar. With this duck he became the first captain to record 11 ducks in IPL history.

Along with this he also entered his name on the list of most ducks recorded in the tournament. Rohit Sharma now has 16 ducks to his name in the tournament.

Rohit Sharma has not had the best of tournaments so far. And it keeps getting worse with every game. The Indian Stalwart came into the game after recording just 5 runs in last three games.

Hence, he was expected to go big at Chepauk, a ground where MI has not lost a game since 2010. But it was once again not the day for Rohit Sharma.

The MI skipper was not able to open his account once again. And hence now finds himself in a rather embarrassing list of players with most ducks to their name in IPL history. Rohit Sharma has recorded 16.

Captain with most ducks in IPL

Sharma was previously tied with Sunil Narine of KKR who also has 15 ducks. Now however he has become the table topper of the most unwanted record.

If it was not enough that Rohit Sharma became the player with most ducks, there is another record that MI Skipper made his own in this game.

Rohit Sharma is now also the only skipper in IPL with 11 ducks to his name. He has eclipsed Gautam Gambhir, who previously held this record.

Mumbai Indians themselves didn’t had the best of times at Chennai. Barring the inning of Wadhera, none of their batters were able to get a handle of CSK bowling.

They lost three wickets up front in the Powerplay itself. And later on Suryakumar Yadav was not able to continue with purple patch against CSK, as he was haunted by his familiar nemesis: Ravindra Jadeja.
