PSG Enraged by Mbappe Interview; Former Chief Asks Him to Leave
Controversy isn’t ready to leave French superstar Kylian Mbappe as his Paris Saint-Germain teammates have reacted with boiling anger towards Mbappe’s recent comments that he made on the club culture and labelled it to be “divisive”.
Six PSG players complain against Kylian Mbappe to Al-Khelaifi
Mbappe was seen pointing fingers towards the hierarchy of PSG in an interview back in June for the consistent failure of the club in the UEFA Champions League and has claimed that it is harder to impress everyone when he is playing in the Ligue 1.
Mbappe had stated that he thought playing for PSG doesn’t help him much since it was a divisive team and a divisive club. He went on to say that he had scored 40 goals in club, 10 with country and became the best player and the top scorer for the club for the fifth year straight.
However, he continued that in the Champions League he got an injury unfortunately right prior to the first leg and they were all powerless when he made a return. He also claimed that that Mbappe himself was the most decisive player in the group stages.
According to the sources, six PSG squad members have apparently sent messages to PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi regarding the degrading interview given by Mbappe, that it was an insult to the club.
PSG president Al-Khelaifi was dumb-founded and shocked and if reports are to be believed, the complaints have come from new signings in the recent times; putting Milan Skriniar, Manuel Ugarte and Marco Asensio in the radar, since they have only arrived in the French capital.
Former PSG chief Leonardo tells Kylian Mbappe to leave PSG
Amidst the turmoil, to make the situation even worse, former Paris Saint-Germain’s sporting director, Leonardo has apparently told the World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe to leave the Les Parisiens this summer itself.
Leonardo had been very involved in convincing Mbappe into signing an extension with PSG back in 2022 and has now said that for the good of PSG, it was now time for Mbappe to leave the French capital no matter what.
Leonard went on to claim that PSG had existed before Kylian Mbappe, and will continue to exist without him, he even took it further to state that Mbappe has only been in the club for six years and that there were five team that won the Champions League without him.
