Paulo Dybala and Jose Mourinho Respond to Chelsea Transfer Rumours

Argentinian player Paulo Dybala and manager Jose Mourinho have finally made their statements on the transfer rumours and links being made with the Dybala to Chelsea this summer transfer window.

The newly appointed Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is being said to be a huge fan and admirer of World Cup winner Dybala and reportedly wanted to sign the Argentinian forward earlier during his time at Tottenham Hotspur as well.

New sparks of gossip burst open when recently, Chelsea defender Thiago Silva openly claimed that he had asked Paulo Dybala, the exceptional forward for whom his admiration is no secret, to sign for the Premier League giants, Chelsea from AS Roma.

However, the 29-year-old has finally decided to respond to the speculation about his future and put an end to the controversy. Dybala openly stated that he was happy at Roma and that he was in fact, he would be joining the pre-season training of the club this month and had no intention to transfer.

Paulo Dybala talks about his future in Roma

According to the sources, Dybala had spoken about the rumours of his potential move to Chelsea and said while taking about his future that he was very happy at Roma and that he was staying there.

“My future? I’m happy at Roma. I’m staying here,” said Dybala.

As per reports, the feelings are shared mutually by both club and the player. Roma are being said to be excited to extend the Argentinian forward’s contract with them, the current contract will take Dybala with the club until 2025, that is, two years from now.

Jose Mourinho on Paulo Dybala’s transfer to Chelsea

When Roma manager Jose Mourinho was asked about the whole Dybala situation, Mourinho replied that he didn’t really know any of the details about the Argentinian’s contract; but however, he said that he talked and behaved with Paulo the way he did with all of his other players in the club.

Paulo Dybala has made about 39 appearances for AS Roma across all competitions during his debut season, amongst which he had scored a total of 15 goals and aided in six assists.
