Meet Maninder, born on January 1st, 1990 in Jalandhar, Punjab, India. He grew up in a wealthy family with his father being the Zamindar of the village and a kabaddi enthusiast. At his father’s recommendation, Maninder started playing kabaddi from a young age with his local friends.

He soon began representing his school in district and state competitions, winning various tournaments with his high skill performance. His impressive strength never failed to fascinate his friends and opponents alike.

Later, Maninder was selected to join the U-19 kabaddi squad at his university, which helped him gain more career opportunities. During one of the tournaments representing his university, he caught the attention of Hanumat Singh, the future coach of Jaipur Pink Panthers, with his impressive performance. Singh was so impressed that he helped Maninder get selected for the squad of Jaipur Pink Panthers in the first season of the PKL.

The first season for the Mighty Maninder came for Jaipur Pink Panther and he managed to get himself the first century of the season. He scored 130 points in that season from just 16 games to become one of the most successful raider of the season.

Things didn’t turn out well for the man as Maninder suffered a very serious injury. Following this injury, he was forced out of the game for nearly three season. As a result, the season 2,3 and 4 of Pro Kabaddi saw no Maninder Singh on the mat.

However, he returned with a bang in the 5th season and managed to take the season by the scuffle of the neck and produced a great season that saw him accumulate 190 points from just 21 games at an average of 9.05 average with 9 super 10s. Although Bengal Warriors didn’t had the best of seasons, Maninder was on fire for sure.
