IND w vs BAN w 2nd T20I: India has secured the series victory by leading 2-0. In the end, India took four wickets in the final over, and Bangladesh was dismissed for 87 runs. Shafali Verma ended up being India’s highest run scorer and joint-leading wicket taker for the day thanks to three of those. India won the series at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium by holding on to a target of 96.

India entered the game as overwhelming favorites to win it easily following their convincing victory in the previous T20I. After Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma got things going right away, it appeared as though everything will go according to plan. But in the fifth and sixth overs, the visitors ultimately lost three wickets in the space of five deliveries.

The Indians were certainly in trouble after Yastika Bhatia dropped in the ninth. As a result of Bangladesh’s continued pressure and strong field discipline, India was eventually held to a pitiful score of 95/8. But exactly as the hosts had done to Bangladesh, they choked Bangladesh with spinners. When it appeared that Bangladesh was losing momentum in the chase, captain Nigar Sultana turned things around.

Right there, India Women have sealed this three-match T20I series with a game to go and will be now eyeing a 3-0 whitewash. On the other hand, Bangladesh Women had their fair share of moments in this game but were unable to get over the line. Nigar Sultana and Co. will look to finish the series strongly and avoid the whitewash. The third and final T20 of this series will take place on Thursday, the 13th of July at the same venue. The first ball will be bowled at 1.30 pm IST (8.00 am GMT).
