Four Real Madrid players arrested over alleged sexual video with minor
Four Real Madrid players have been arrested over the alleged sharing of a sexual video featuring a minor girl, Spanish police said.
The players, who are not minors, were later released following a court decision. Moreover, the data on their mobile phones was also seized by the police.
A complaint was filed in the Canary Islands by the mother of a 16-year-old girl who appears in the video. The girl said that the relations were consensual, the recording took place in June without her consent and that she had recently become aware of it.
Real Madrid issued a statement saying only that a total of four youth team players had been questioned by police “in connection with a complaint about an alleged release of a private video via WhatsApp.”

The arrests come amid allegations of sexual abuse against former RFEF president Luis Rubiales, who kissed player Jenni Hermoso last month after Spain won the Women’s World Cup.
Rubiales resigned after weeks of defying calls for him to step down. However, he says that the kiss was mutual and consensual.
Diaro AS have reported that the worst possible outcome for the players could be at least five years of prison time. Numerous reports have also suggested that apart from Real Madrid Castilla or the club’s third team, the first-team players might be involved.
