Bayern Munich submit a second bid worth €80 million for Harry Kane

Bayern Munich have submitted their second bid for Harry Kane worth €80 million and hope it will be enough to lure the striker away from Spurs.

The German club’s first bid of €70 million plus add-ons was rejected by Tottenham straight away. It is expected that their second bid will also get rejected, as Spurs want at least €100 million for him.

Kane not interested in signing a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham prefers to keep Kane for the long run and hopes that he signs a new long-term contract. But Kane does not want to sign a new contract as he wants to leave Spurs.

The English striker has one year left on his contract and will be free to negotiate with any club at the end of this year.

A few weeks ago, it was reported that Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel went to Kane’s home to discuss potential plans for him at Bayern. However, this made Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy furious as he thought Kane was backstabbing them.

Bayern Munich still optimistic about Harry Kane

Daniel Levy will stand firm on his €100 million price for the English striker. However, they don’t want to lose him for free next year. Bayern will not shell out the asking price and will try to lower the fee over the next few weeks to secure the transfer.

The striker finished the 2022/23 season on a high scoring 30 goals for his side, but Spurs only finished 8th in the Premier League.

Other clubs like Man Utd, PSG and Real Madrid also like Kane a lot, but his asking price is too high, and they won’t be able to sign him.

New Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou will hope that Kane remains at Spurs for the 2023/24 season. Moreover, Spurs have also started their rebuild. They have signed James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario and Dejan Kulusevki on a permanent transfer.
